Features
The enhanced STK-6V is the first and only cost- effective integrated solution designed to exceed the unique and specific needs of the synthetic turf irrigation market. The ST System features total top access to all irrigation components making maintenance simple while keeping the surface intact, playable and safe. The exclusive IBS Infill Barrier System accommodates every field surface configuration including infill turf, short non-infill turf, synthetic running track, and in-concrete installations. The robust and reliable manifold features 80 mm galvanized ductile iron components with heavy-duty grooved (Victaulic™ type) fittings. Also included is a slow-opening, low pressure loss control valve, isolation valve, drain valve, quick coupler valve, and the powerful ST-1600B long- range gear-driven rotor.
Key Benefits
Advanced Features
The ST-1600 and optional high-speed ST-1600HS rotors complement the ST-90 and STG-900 rotors by adding long-range capabilities. These enhanced radius rotors are perfect for football fields, where smaller radius rotors might fall a little short. They are even better for extra-wide field applications like soccer and field hockey. While the ST-1600 rotors are specifically designed for use on synthetic sports fields, they are also great for other applications such as pastures, horse arenas, zoo animal enclosures, dust control and even casual non-critical natural turf areas. ST-1600 rotors are available in two configurations:
ST-1600B
This model is a 13 cm pop-up with adjustable-arc and full-circle capabilities in one rotor. All internal components of this rotor are accessible from the top without disturbing the synthetic surface. It is ideally suited for installation within Hunter's ST-243642B vault, or in the natural turf that is sometimes adjacent to the synthetic field to be irrigated.
ST-1600HSB
This pop-up high-speed model provides rotation speeds up to 65 seconds at a 180° arc setting with 8 bar operating pressure. If desirable, the rotation speed can be slowed by using the manual speed adjustment knob.
ST-1600BR
This model is a compact and unobtrusive riser-mounted rotor with adjustable-arc and full-circle capabilities. It’s perfect for those installations where it is preferable to keep all irrigation piping and equipment away from the synthetic surface. The riser-mounted configuration also allows existing synthetic sports fields to be retrofitted for irrigation without disturbing the playing surface. Riser-mounted configurations are typically installed at elevations that promote safety and protection from the rotor's high-flow water stream.
ST-1600HSBR
This riser-mounted high-speed model provides rotation speeds up to 65 seconds at a 180° arc setting with 8 bar operating pressure. If desirable, the rotation speed can be slowed by using the manual speed adjustment knob.
- ST Infill Barrier System
ST-IBS-1600
The unique IBS Rubber Cover Kit includes vertical rubber barriers to retain infill material creating a safe transition where the rotor pops up. The IBS can also be trimmed to create a flat exposed surface area.Infill Turf Example

Bare Cover Option
ST-FRP-1600 - ST Adjustable Hanger Bracket
ST-BKT-1600
This bracket supports the rotor within the vault and provides vertical elevation adjustments allowing for a perfect surface transition. - ST Manifold and Isolation Valve
ST-BVF30-K
Rated to 35 bar; 350 kPa working pressure, this 3" (80 mm) galvanised ductile iron assembly includes Victaulic™ type grooved connections, a butterfly isolation valve, a point of connection for the quick coupler, and a 1" (25 mm) brass drain valve. - ST Low-Loss, Slow-Opening Valve
ST-V30-KV: Heavy-duty control valve.
Valve: 3" (80 mm) grooved Victaulic type
Pressure loss: Ultra low (0.15 bar; 15 kPa at 65.0 m3/hr; 1,082 l/min)
Manual control: Remote On-Off-Auto Selector and solenoid (not shown) - ST Flexible Stainless Inlet Hose
ST-H30-K
3" (80 mm) ultra-flexible stainless steel corrugated hose with stainless steel support braiding. Provides for minor offset and alignment of sub-mainline to the ST Manifold's inlet connection.
ST-SPT-K
Adjustable support stands include a large footprint base made from recycled tire rubber and a 2" (50 mm) vertically adjustable support rail (two required under manifold).
Open access to all components for ease of ongoing maintenance.
Smooth and safe surface area with quick-access ports.
Heavy-duty tapered fiberglass and polymer-concrete construction with precast holes for rotor, quick coupler valve, and remote on-off-auto selector manifold assembly.
The ST-V30-KV valve kit includes a remotely located On-Off-Auto selector and solenoid manifold assembly. These convenient features bring valve manual control functions and solenoid splice connections closer to the surface for easy access.
Quick couplers provide a convenient source of water for washing down spills and water-soluble paint. Integrated in-vault design eliminates the need for additional quick coupler enclosures.
Blends in perfectly with the surrounding synthetic surface.
While ST Rotors are specifically designed for cleaning and cooling synthetic turf sports fields, they are also great for other applications such as pastures, horse arenas, dust control and even casual natural turf area.
