Sometimes the EC can retain an electrical glitch and the result can be some programming anomalies such as this. Most of the time a simple reset solves the problem:
- Press and hold down the
, 
and 
buttons. - Press and release the RESET button located in the lower wiring compartment.
- Release the , and buttons. The display should now show 12:00am. All the memory has been cleared and the controller may now be reprogrammed.
