When using the side strip nozzles, there are several different configurations that can be done with any given design. For this reason, we would recommend using the Total Area Method to calculate your rate.
Total Area Method
The precipitation rate for a “system” is the average precipitation rate of all sprinklers in an area, regardless of the spacing, flow rate, or arc for each head. The Total Area Method calculates all the flows of all the heads in any given area.
The flow rates (GPM) in the chart below can be used to complete the calculation of the precipitation rate.
