Pilot controllers have two styles of programming. They have an “Event” and “FCP” (Field Controller Programmer) styles of programming. Event programming is the complete program from CCS. One start time with all the stations on the course property running at max capacity electrically, and hydraulically. FCP is a scheduled style of programming with potentially multiple start times based on the controller’s program. The controller is a standalone unit not in unison with the other controllers at the golf course property. Depending on if you use the software or have a controller as a standalone unit you can edit the watering mode. The three water modes and their functions are as follows:
- Run Flow and FCP: Works with CCS and as a standalone controller. What most should use even as a standalone controller.
- Run FCP Schedules: Works as a standalone controller. If someone uses CCS this setting will automatically adjust to Run Flow and FCP.
- Run Flow Optimized: Works with the older version Pilot CC, do not use if you have Pilot CCS and FCP Utility. Run flow Optimized overrides FCPs, so if a station runs manually or automatically in a controller and an event is sent from the computer, the computer program will override it and stop irrigation if it interferes with the event.
Select Settings, then “-“
Select Set Watering Mode.
Select the refresh soft key to switch between the three options: Run Flow and FCP, Run FCP Schedules, and Run Flow Optimized:
